You can get a hot dog for a dollar at Sonic on March 30, but a promotion for a $1 burger at Whataburger that was circulating on social media today is just a hoax.

The March 29 ‘Dollar Burger Day’ Whataburger promotion was making the rounds on social media today and Whataburger was spending much of the day responding to customers on social media about the fake coupon.
“This $1 Whataburger coupon you may have seen is a hoax. We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused,” the burger chain wrote on Twitter.
The fake promo claimed that Whataburger was celebrating ‘Dollar Burger Day’ at ‘every one of our locations’ on March 29. ‘Get a Whataburger only for $1.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Unless it isn’t, of course.
