Perhaps seeking to attract more health conscious customers, Wendy’s is offering a new chicken sandwich that skips the breading and deep fryer in favor of the grill.

Wendy’s new Grilled Chicken Sandwich features an all-white meat chicken breast fillet that’s marinated in a blend of herbs, topped with smoky honey mustard, spring mix and fresh-cut tomato, all sandwiched between a toasted, multigrain bun.

Overall, Wendy’s new Grilled Chicken Sandwich has 360 calories – which in the scheme of things is relatively middle of the road, when you consider some fried sandwiches that can push 700 calories or more. But what I find most interesting is the fact that the bun alone has 160 calories, while the chicken breast fillet has 30 fewer calories, at 130. The tomato and spring mix together bring 10 calories to the party, while the honey mustard sauce clocks in with a total of 60 calories.

The new Grilled Chicken Sandwich is available for a limited time at participating Wendy’s locations nationwide.
