McDonald’s has been spotted testing a new Signature Crafted chicken sandwich with an Italian flair in Southern California: the Pesto Mozzarella Melt.

YouTube food reviewer Ian Keiner – aka “Peep THIS Out!” spotted the test item on the menu at a select location in Pasadena, California.
The Pesto Mozzarella Melt features a marinated grilled chicken breast filet sandwiched between two slices of melted mozzarella cheese, fresh baby greens and basil, strong pesto sauce and sliced tomato, all served between a soft, toasted artisan roll.
On its own, the Pesto Mozzarella Melt sells for $4.99. It’s also available as part of a meal combo with a fries and a drink for $7.99.
Ian is very fond of pesto sauce, so much so that he refers to it as the “star of the show.” For now we’ll just have to take his word.
