McDonald’s Australia is running a summer promotion (yes, it’s summer in Australia) where fans can get one of their new Choc Chip Hotcakes for $1.

At first blush I was somewhat hesitant to actually believe the deal was for a single hotcake, so I took a deep dive into the syrup and was able to confirm the $1 promotion is in fact for one Choc Chip Hotcake.
My initial hesitancy was based on Burger King’s current deal here in the US where you can get a stack of three large pancakes for just 89 cents.
In terms of pricing, one Australian dollar is worth about 75 cents, based on today’s currency exchange rate.
In terms of hotcakes, McDonald’s new Choc Chip Hotcakes are described as being a fluffy and gooey, sweet delicious snack with chocolate chip pieces.
