Review: Little Caesars Smokehouse Pizza

Little Caesars barbecue-themed Smokehouse Pizza features a large, round pizza layered with the chain’s own blend of mozzarella and Muenster cheeses, topped with beef brisket, pulled pork, crumbles of applewood-smoked bacon and barbecue sauce. The crust gets a little extra attention with a dusting of smokehouse seasoning.

The limited time pizza can be found at participating locations any time of the day for $9. It’s also available Hot-N-Ready from 4 p.m to 8 p.m.

Eric, aka The Endorsement was able to pick one up at his local Little Caesars before the national launch on Monday, February 27, 2017.

Opening The Box

While there was no denying the smokehouse aroma, the pizza itself was noticeably lacking in several critical departments, including cheese, meats and sauce. The classic Little Caesars cheese pull was nonexistent and the smokehouse seasoned crust turned out to be a major disappointment with none of the much anticipated smoky flavor to be found anywhere. The pizza was plagued by numerous quality issues, which Eric details in his full YouTube review below.

  1. It was the best pizza I have had in years. Now that I know it is only average, I’m going to get it again today and see if I am totally smoked out or you all. To be continued….

    • While it did rate relatively low, I think that can be attributed to issues elated to inconsistent preparation.

In Eric’s case, his pizza lacked sauce, while Ian’s had too much sauce. Toppings and crust also offered inconsistencies, as you can see by the photo comparison above.

However, now that the pizza has been available for a couple of weeks, perhaps the quality control issues revealed in the above reviews have been rectified.

  2. We loved it. Will definitely be getting it again. Ours had just the right amount of sauce, meat and cheese. It must depend on the cook how it turns out.

  3. i wanna know why they put a man talking with his mouth full on the commercial….it’s nasty and also makes it hard to teach the kids etiquette
