McDonald’s looks to woo southerners with the introduction of Buttermilk Crispy Tenders at 138 test locations in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

As with the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the tenders are marinated, battered with a blend of spices and buttermilk, and fried up.
To accompany the tenders, McDonald’s is also offering a new zesty “Signature Sauce” that they’re describing as “slightly tangy and sweet.”
Buttermilk Crispy Tenders and Biscuit Bundle
The new tenders are available on their own, or as part of a Buttermilk Crispy Tenders and Biscuit Bundle, where you get 2 Buttermilk Crispy Tenders and Signature Sauce plus a scratch-made biscuit with honey.
The so-called “clean” chicken tenders are made using all white meat chicken with no artificial flavors, MSG or preservatives.
