The Spicy Korean Burger features a kimchi-seasoned beef patty topped with spicy Korean sauce and crunchy vegetables, all sandwiched between a warm charcoal bun. The burger comes served with a side of the Criss-Cut Chips (potato chips) and a Frozen Fanta beverage for around $3.75 US (RM15.99). The burger is also available on its own for around $3.05 US (RM12.99).

The limited-time offering is part of McDonald’s “Discover the World” promotion, where fans in Malaysia are introduced to a variety of new menu items featuring iconic flavors from around the world.

The burger appears to be very popular among Malaysians – so much so that due to overwhelming demand, the Spicy Korean Burger is temporarily out of stock.

McDonald’s Malaysia announced on social media that the burger will be back on August 10, 2017.

I suspect the shortage is related to running out of charcoal buns.
