According to Business Insider, the brand started testing new replacements, such as queso dip at hundreds of select U.S. locations.

While chorizo itself is a relatively new menu item, introduced nationwide just last October, the spicy chicken-and-pork sausage blend is the least favorite protein on the menu among Chipotle fans, accounting for just three percent of entrée sales.
