It’s out with the old, and in with the new as Del Taco replaces its nacho cheese sauce with new Queso Blanco at locations nationwide on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

The brand’s new cheese sauce, which is made with real cheese, real milk, jalapeños and heavy cream is also featured in the new Queso Crunch Taco.

New Queso Crunch Taco

The Queso Crunch Taco takes the brand’s popular Del Taco (seasoned beef, crisp lettuce, hand-grated cheddar cheese and diced tomatoes in a crunchy taco shell) and wraps it in a warm flour tortilla with a layer of creamy Queso Blanco in between.

Queso Blanco can also be found as a standard ingredient the following menu items:

  • Queso Loaded Nachos: House-made tortilla chips, loaded with slow-cooked beans, creamy Queso Blanco, fresh diced tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, cool sour cream and your choice of seasoned beef, fresh grilled chicken, or fresh grilled carne asada.
  • Queso Bean Burrito: Slow-cooked beans, creamy Queso Blanco and freshly hand-grated cheddar cheese all rolled up in a warm flour tortilla.
  • Queso Fries: Crinkle-Cut fries smothered in creamy Queso Blanco and topped with fresh hand-grated cheddar cheese.
  • Chips & Queso Dip: Fresh house-made tortilla chips served with a side of creamy Queso Blanco.

Additionally, you can add Queso Blanco to any menu item for 50-cents. Prices and availability may vary.
