McDonald’s announced last week that for one-day-only on Saturday, October 7, the chain would offer Szechuan Sauce in limited amounts at select US locations. As it turns out, only 20 packets of sauce were made available in participating restaurants.
If you were one of the many thousands of fans left holding the sauce on Saturday, McDonald’s wants to make things right.
On Sunday, the brand took to social media to announce “a lot more” Szechuan Sauce is coming back this winter at a restaurant near you.
“Szechuan Sauce is coming back once again this winter. And instead of being one-day-only and limited to select restaurants, we’re bringing more — a lot more — so that any fan who’s willing to do whatever it takes for Szechuan Sauce will only have to ask for it at a nearby McDonald’s,” the chain said in a statement released across its social media channels.
