Popeyes serves up a new seasonal seafood menu item with the launch of Sweet Heat Butterfly Shrimp at participating locations.

Sweet Heat Butterfly Shrimp are marinated in Louisiana spices and fried up in a sweet, buttery shortbread coating. The shrimp are available as part of a $5 Tackle Box meal deal where you get eight shrimp, plus your choice of one side, along with a biscuit and red hot honey sauce for dipping.
Additionally, Popeyes is also offering a Surf & Turf Tackle Box, where you get four Sweet Heat Butterfly Shrimp, two Chicken Tenders, plus a side and biscuit for $5.
It’s not the first time Popeyes offered an item battered in a shortbread coating. You may recall, just last spring the brand launched Sweet & Crunchy Tenders, featuring all white-meat chicken tenders battered up in a similar shortbread cookie coating.
