For the first time in 10 years, General Mills is introducing a new permanent marshmallow to its popular Lucky Charms cereal – the Magical Unicorn.

General Mills tapped into the imagination of young minds to hand select the newest magical charm. Featuring hues of bright purples and blues, the new unicorn charm is the first-ever marshmallow to be inspired and created by kids.
With its arrival, fans will have to bid farewell to the hourglass marshmallow, which has been featured in the popular cereal for more than a decade.
Lucky Charms unique marshmallow blend will continue to feature eight lucky charms, including hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, blue moons, rainbows, red balloons and new magical unicorns.
The new unicorn charms are currently rolling out in boxes of Original and Chocolate Lucky Charms cereals and will be available more widely at major grocery retailers and big box stores in March, 2018.
