Pizza delivery drives are well aware of the fact that they are easy targets for robbers while out late at night making deliveries. For that reason, drivers limit the amount of cash they carry on them to deter thieves. But there’s one thing a pizza delivery driver has to carry, and that, of course is, the PIZZA. And there’s just no deterrent for a pizza-hungry thief.

That’s exactly what happened in Victorville, California, when a Pizza Hut delivery driver was robbed of his delivery.

The Victor Valley News reports Steven Mitchell, 23, approached a Pizza Hut delivery driver while on delivery, shoved him, and asked what kind of pizza he had. Mitchell took a couple of slices, and threw the box on the ground. From what we understand here at Chew Boom, the assailant left the scene without harming the victim.

A spokesman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Victor Valley News that the suspect was later apprehended and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Strong Armed Robbery.

We understand that when Mitchell was told to say cheese for his mug shot, he responded by saying “yes, extra mozzarella.”
