Every November, Starbucks releases a new holiday cup design along with new seasonal beverages. In previous years, Starbucks holiday cups featured reindeer, Christmas trees, snowmen and carolers.

But this year, something changed. Starbucks went minimal, giving the theory that less is more a whole new meaning.

During an appearance at an event in Springfield, Illinois, on Monday, Trump floated the idea of boycotting Starbucks over the lack of Christmas spirit on their holiday cups.

“I have one of the most successful Starbucks, in Trump Tower. Maybe we should boycott Starbucks? I don’t know. Seriously, I don’t care. That’s the end of that lease, but who cares?”

“If I become president, we’re all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you. That I can tell you,” Trump told the crowd.
