Packing 5.5 percent alcohol by volume, Anheuser-Busch’s latest ale is aged on vanilla beans and is only marginally higher in alcohol content than traditional 5% Budweiser.

Best Damn Root Beer will be available in six-packs of bottles, 16oz cans and on tap. Prices will vary from region to region.

Some restaurants and bars will be offering root beer floats with Best Damn Root Beer served in special 20-oz mugs, according to USA Today.

“It smells, it looks, and it tastes like the root beer flavor you know and love, but in an adult version,” says Best Damn Brewing brand director Kathy Sattler.

The crew at Chew Boom are huge fans of the soft drink version of root beer. Our only fear is we won’t know when to stop!
