Chipotle faces criminal investigation after norovirus outbreak

The news isn’t getting any better for Chipotle after the company said today that it has been served with a federal grand jury subpoena as part of a criminal investigation related to a norovirus outbreak earlier this summer at one of it’s California restaurants.

According to AP, the investigation is being conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California in conjunction with the Food and Drug Administration.

The company says the subpoena requires it to hand over a broad range of documents.
