The crew here at Chew Boom are big fans of eating competitions. It probably has something to do with our affinity for food and shovel loads of it. That’s why we’re excited about the very first “National Bagel Eating Contest.”

Next month, on February 7, the very first “National Bagel Eating Contest” will be held in Huntington, Long Island. The winner of the 5-minute all-you-can-eat bagel competition will be crowned National Bagel Eating Champion – a title that comes with bragging rights and a $500 cash prize.
Along with the competitive eating, the event will also feature Bagel Art, bagel games and tasting samples of different flavored bagels
If you want to participate, head on over to the official website and complete the contest entry form. There’s a $25 entry fee to participate in the bagel eating completion.
The National Bagel Eating Contest is sponsored by the Bagel of the Month Club, Bagel Boss and Brooklyn Bagel Chips.
