On Friday, Campbell was being treated at the burn unit of the Harborview Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition. Campbell’s friends told KIRO‑TV that there was hope, because her condition had recently improved, but on Monday, friends said her condition took a turn for the worse.
“There was hope,” said Campbell’s close friend Ben Scott. “The nurses were optimistic. Her boyfriend said she looked better than she had since the accident happened. We were all making plans,” he said.

Scott said he later received a phone call that completely crushed his world.
Campbell’s friends have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for Campbell’s two young daughters and plan to hold a benefit concert on January 16, at Tony Vs Garage, 1716 Hewitt Ave, Everett, Washington.
