Full disclosure, I’m a big fan of fried chicken and an even bigger fan of fried chicken stuffed in a potato roll, so the Shake Shack’s new Chick’n Shack sandwich is right up my alley.

The Chick’n Shack sandwich sells for $6.29 and that’s not chicken feed. Yes, it’s on the top end of chicken sandwiches as far as price is concerned, but I still feel the Chick’n Shack sandwich offers excellent value for money due to the quality and taste that this bird packs. I’m always willing to pay more for quality.

The chicken is absolutely delicious, juicy and above all crunchy. I attribute that to the creamy buttermilk marinade used to prepare the breast with before hitting the fryer.

The sauce, a buttermilk herb mayo is a perfect fit and offers a great contrast in flavor to the crunchy pickles and lettuce. There’s also a slight peppery kick, but not enough to put this sandwich in the heat category. That’s probably why Shake Shack offers Louisiana hot sauce for fans that like their sandwich with a bit of a heat factor.

My final assessment: BUY BUY BUY!
