When it comes to whisky, it’s all about the taste, and a whisky distilled in Windsor, Ontario, Canada has been named the best in the country.

The announcement was made Thursday evening during the sixth annual Canadian Whisky Awards at the Victoria Whisky Festival in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
The winner, known as Lot No. 40, was chosen by a ten member panel as the best Canadian whisky of 2015.
Chairman of the judges, Davin de Kergommeaux, described Lot No. 40 as: “A rye whisky sensation. Interest in rye is surging globally and here is proof that Canada makes the best all-rye whiskies in the world.”
