Just when you thought it was safe to enjoy your favorite burger, the fast food war heats up again. This time, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s aren’t pulling any punches with the introduction of the new $4 Real Deal.

The Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Real Deal takes a jab at competitors with a double cheeseburger, spicy chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink, all for only $4.
Competitors in the field are offering similar value deals for around the same price, but only include one entrée sandwich. Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s value deal includes a charbroiled double cheeseburger and the popular spicy chicken Sandwich, both served with fries and a drink.
Look for the new ad campaign promoting the deal featuring four-time heavyweight champion, Evander ‘The Real Deal’ Holyfield.”
Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s knockout commercial featuring iconic boxing champion, Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield was developed by Los Angeles-, New York- and Amsterdam-based creative agency 72andSunny, and will air on TV nationally starting on January 23 as well as on the chains’ YouTube channels.
Will the Real Deal knockout the competiton? It’s unlikely, unless of course Holyfield comes out of retirement. So for now, just sit back and enjoy the latest punch in the fast food rumble for your dollar.
