When it comes to potato chips, the crew here at Chew Boom just can’t get enough. But Lay’s has given us another good reason to lick our fingers with impunity: $250,000. It’s a deal too tasty to ignore, and we want to emphasise the tasty!

Lay’s is reaching out to Americans to unleash the power of their palates, put their taste buds to the test and help choose between four all-new potato chip flavors and the classic ones they know well.

If you’re wondering where all this a leading to, well, it’s a little things called the “Flavor Swap.”

The “Flavor Swap” program asks chip lovers to vote for four classic flavors or four new chip flavors.

Starting on February 8, Lay’s fans will be asked to vote for their favorite flavor in each of the four “Flavor Swap” pairings, and enter a $1,000 daily give away. That’s $1,000 a day, every day, during the promotion period. On top of that, Lay’s is also awarding $250,000 to one lucky participant for just voting.

You’ll be able to cast your vote over at FlavorSwap.com when the promotion officially opens.

Here’s a look at what you can expect to tantalize your taste buds:

  • Heat Flavor Swap: Lay’s Flamin’ Hot vs. all-new Lay’s Fiery Roasted Habanero
  • Cheese Flavor Swap: Lay’s Cheddar & Sour Cream vs. all-new Lay’s Smoked Gouda & Chive
  • Barbecue Flavor Swap: Lay’s Honey Barbecue vs. all-new Lay’s Korean Barbecue
  • Spice Flavor Swap: Lay’s Kettle Cooked Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper vs. all-new Lay’s Kettle Cooked Olive Oil & Herbs

When voting opens on February 8, all eight flavors will be available to buy nationwide. Voting ends on March 21, so get that chip off your shoulder and prepare to put some spice in your mouth and cash in your hand.
