When it comes to food in Japan, here’s the generally accepted rule: expect the unexpected. Just last week, Chew Boom reported McDonald’s Japan was offering chocolate-covered French fries. Today we can report on what’s being touted as a Kit Kat world first: Kit Kats with toppings.
Nestle Japan has introduced the Kit Kat Chocolatory Moleson, a hacked Kit Kat with fruit and nut toppings. Nestle says it’s the first Kit Kat of its kind.
Each Kit Kat is topped by hand with dried cranberries and crunchy almonds to ensure every Kit Kat produced is visually stunning.
The Kit Kat Chocolatory Moleson is produced at the Kit Kat Chocolatory, a Kit Kat boutique in Japan that is dedicated to Kit Kats. Yes, there is such a place, and we want one in the USA.
Kit Kats with toppings will be available for a limited time at Kit Kat Chocolatory shops in Japan starting on February 5. A box will set you back about 500 yen or $4.22.
