Located at 501 Queen West, in Canada’s largest city, the trendy soup spot started serving free soup Tuesday morning – and by all indication, it’s a hit. If that sounds canny, it’s supposed to.
If you’re wondering about the Campbell’s connection – here’s the deal. Guests are offered the opportunity to sample four hacked Campbell’s recipes created by chef Pettit especially for the event.
You can check out chef Pettit at The Cantina during lunch and dinner hours, every day from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., to learn tips and tricks for how to recreate his special dishes at home.
The Cantina serves free soup from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. As with most pop-up restaurants, this one will serve its last bowl of soup on February 21. If you’re in the Toronto area check them out, it looks like a great place to dip a spoon.
