The Town Talk reports Supple was sitting in her car on Monday near the door of Pizza Hut on South MacArthur Drive when a piece of the building fell on the back of her 2013 Kia Soul.

She told WAOW that when the storm hit she ran inside the Pizza Hut and took cover in the bathroom until the storm passed.

Meanwhile, customers eating inside the Pizza Hut were forced to run for cover as the winds forced parts of a nearby car wash onto the restaurant.

Two Pizza Hut employees were taken to hospital and treated for injuries sustained during the storm. They were later released, according to local police.

Alexandria Police released the following statement:

Early this afternoon, Alexandria Police were dispatched to the 3900 Block of MacArthur Drive along with AFD and EMS following a significant weather event. Preliminary reports indicate heavy winds or possible Tornado damaged parts of a local car wash and Pizza Hut restaurant at this location.

Two employees from the restaurant were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and releases. There were several customers inside the restaurant during the storm, none of which were injured.

The car wash and Pizza Hut sustained significant damage as a result of the storm however; no other weather related damage or injuries were reported in Alexandria.
