In a statement on its German website, Mars said the company wants to ensure consumers don’t eat the products.
“We want to avoid having consumers who bought one of the products consume them.”
The statement went on to identify the following affected products: Mars, Milky Way, Snickers, Celebrations, and Mini Mix.
The voluntary recall affects products produced early this year in the Netherlands, according to the AP report.
