Fast food restaurants know how important it is to provide quick, friendly, courteous service. Customers expect it, even if that customer is a uniformed cop. After waiting in his cruiser for 10 minutes at a Krystal drive-thru in Irondale, the Alabama police officer got NO service – so he decided to go inside.

Things didn’t get any better on the inside. When the officer approached the counter to place his order, the officer says the workers walked away, FOX 5 reported.

A Krystal spokeswoman confirmed video surveillance backed up the officer’s claims.

“We take this allegation very seriously. Our policy is to serve all guests promptly and with a smile. In this case, we clearly did not meet the officer’s expectations and we want to correct it,” Krystal’s corporate office said in a statement.

News of the incident quickly went viral gone viral, with many slamming the company on social media.
