Things didn’t get any better on the inside. When the officer approached the counter to place his order, the officer says the workers walked away, FOX 5 reported.

A Krystal spokeswoman confirmed video surveillance backed up the officer’s claims.

“We take this allegation very seriously. Our policy is to serve all guests promptly and with a smile. In this case, we clearly did not meet the officer’s expectations and we want to correct it,” Krystal’s corporate office said in a statement.

News of the incident quickly went viral gone viral, with many slamming the company on social media.
