“We looked at the latest trends in juicing and nutrition to understand that consumers are seeking more sources of protein and new options for hydration,” said Ninomiya, product manager of Evolution Fresh.

In response, Ninomiya’s team worked on the development of four new Evolution Fresh juice varieties.

Here’s a look at the four new drinks:

Protein Power Greens: Green vegetable juices including cucumber, spinach, romaine lettuce and kale are blended with protein and fruit juices in this smoothie. With 14 grams of protein per 8-ounce serving, it provides 28 percent of the daily recommended value of protein.

Protein Power Berry: Sweet and tart strawberries and raspberry juices are swirled into a creamy protein smoothie that provides 14 grams of protein per 8-ounce serving and 28 percent of the daily recommended value of protein.

Organic Greens & Kale is made with dark, leafy greens and features a blend of organic spinach, romaine, cucumber and celery that’s accented with a squeeze of lemon. The company says the green juice is an excellent source of Vitamin K with 4 grams of sugar per 8-ounce serving.

Organic Green Lemonade is a twist on a traditional favorite, that offers a hydrating lemonade mixed with green juice. The company says the juice is USDA-certified organic with 10 grams of sugar per 8-ounce serving.

The four new Evolution Fresh juices will be available nationally this spring at select Whole Foods locations as well as natural and premium grocery stores. Protein Power Berry will also be available at Starbucks retail stores in the U.S. starting on March 22.
