But Buzz’s departure is only temporary – it’s part of an imaginative campaign to raise awareness about plummeting honey bee populations around the world. Buzz is replaced by a white outlined silhouette of the figure on all new Honey Nut Cheerios distributed in Canada as part of the “Bring Back the Bees” promotion.

The ad campaign also features a video to help raise awareness of the serious problem.

Bees are disappearing by the millions and honey isn’t the only thing we’re in danger of losing. Bees are responsible for 1 in 3 bites of food we eat.

Join us in our mission to bring back the bees and help us reach our goal of giving away 35 million wildflower seeds – one for every Canadian. Visit BringBacktheBees.ca to get your free seeds and share this video with #BringBackTheBees to help spread the message.
