Ice cream fans should mark April 12 on their calendars, because that’s when Ben & Jerry’s will be celebrating the chain’s annual Free Cone Day for 2016.

The annual event started back in 1979 when Ben & Jerry’s offered free scoops as a way of thanking loyal customers for all the love and support they showed during the company’s first year of business in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont.
