Sonic has partnered with Instagram celebrity Chef Jacques La Merde (@ChefJacquesLaMerde) aka Christine Flynn, to launch a new line of square shakes inspired by the chain’s popular line of Creamery Shakes.
Sonic says the new square shakes are the world’s first product designed for Instagram.
The new Square Shakes designed for Instagram will be available at Base Camp, Coachella Valley on April 16 during the music festival.
According to DigiDay, Flynn designed the line of creamery shakes to fit within Instagram – served in a square cup, with a square straw and with square versions of ingredients.
Sonic plans to make shakes available for ordering on Instagram via “Shop Now” sponsored ads targeting Coachella music festival attendees on April 16.
Using a geo-fence overlaid on the festival grounds, Sonic will be able to find fans who order and deliver the shakes directly to them, Ad Week reported Monday.
The price is right too. Simply take a photo of the shake and post it on your personal Instagram – using the hashtag #SquareShakes.
Sonic also launched a website dedicated to Sonic Square Shakes.
