If you enjoy mixing your politics with your ice cream you’re going to love Ben & Jerry’s latest new flavor: Empower Mint.

The new flavor was unveiled by Ben & Jerry’s co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield at North Carolina Central University on Tuesday.
Empower Mint, a peppermint ice cream with fudge brownies and fudge swirls was launched as part of the company’s Democracy Is In Your Hands campaign.
The flavor reflects Cohen and Greenfield’s belief that voting gives everyone a taste of empowerment, and that an election should be more “by the people” and less “buy the people”.
The new flavor is available at Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops and in pints nationwide.
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the NAACP North Carolina.
