The Dew Nation has spoken, and Mountain Dew is listening. Pitch Black has been voted the winner of DEWcision 2016, and will be offered as a permanent flavor later this year.

Over the past few months, Dew fans have been casting ballots for the flavor they wanted to see become a permanent member of the Dew family. The voting was limited to two cult favorites: Baja Blast and Pitch Black.
On Monday, it was announced that Pitch Black, with 2.9 million votes, edged out Baja Blast by less than a half of a percent of the total 5,789,284 million votes, to take the crown.
Pitch Black will make its debut as a permanent member of the Mountain Dew family this September.
Mountain Dew Pitch Black is described as a bold flavor of Dew with a twist of citrus and dark fruit flavor. Pitch Black first appeared in 2004 as a limited-edition Halloween flavor. It made a return in 2011 as part of the “Back by Popular DEWmand” promotion, and earlier this year Pitch Black became exclusively available via fountain at Speedway stores nationwide.
