The Whopperito features a flour tortilla packed with beef, seasoning, tomatoes, onions, pickles and a creamy queso sauce.
The mashup was tested at select locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania a couple of months ago. Judging by the decision to launch the Whopperito nationwide, it’s probably fair to assume testing went well. It’s very existence created quite a bit of buzz on social media at the time – earning the chain both mockery, and praise.
Burger King’s “Whopperito” is not so much a “marriage” of a Whopper and a burrito as it is a “murder/suicide”.

According to Bloomberg, the Whopperito will sell for $2.99 on its own, and it’s only expected to be available for three to four months. That could easily change depending on demand.
The Whopperito will officially launch nationwide at participating Burger King locations on Monday, August 15.
