On August 22, Chew Boom exclusively reported that Dunkin’ Donuts would soon be launching a new breakfast sandwich nationwide: the Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich. Two days later, on National Waffle Day, Dunkin’ Donuts announced plans to launch that new breakfast sandwich on August 29.

The Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich features Cherrywood smoked bacon, egg and American cheese served between two thick, deep-ridged, golden brown and fluffy Belgian Waffles.
The breakfast sandwich was available earlier this year at a few selection locations during the product testing phase. Interestingly, the test sandwich included maple butter, but will not be included as part of the sandwich when it debuts on August 29.
As part of the chain’s National Waffle Day celebration, Dunkin’ Donuts also launched a new virtual waffle-themed scratch and win mobile game, offering fans a daily opportunity to win mGifts, as well as a chance to win breakfast sandwiches well into 2017.
