Wendy’s has been spotted testing a new premium cheeseburger along with a new take on loaded fries – both of which feature somewhat upscale ingredients, including a buttery croissant bun, truffle aioli and parmesan cheese sauce.
Wendy’s new Truffle Bacon Cheeseburger and Bacon Truffle Fries have been spotted by fans at select Wendy’s locations in the New England area and Nashville, Tennessee.
The new sandwich features a 100 percent beef patty paired with toppings consisting of mixed greens, Applewood smoked bacon, truffle aioli & parmesan cheese sauce, sliced tomato and a cheese slice, all sandwiched between a buttery croissant bun. You can expect to pay $4.99 for the burger on its own in the New England test market, and $5.19 in Nashville.
In addition to the Truffle Bacon Cheeseburger, Wendy’s is also testing new Bacon Truffle Fries, featuring premium toppings.
