Popeyes has been spotted testing new Butter Crunch Tenders with Smokin’ Pepper Jam dipping sauce.

The test product was spotted by YouTube food reviewer mrhappy012 – aka Greg and Q.
Greg paid $6.50 for his Butter Crunch Tenders Meal, which included three tenders with Smokin’ Pepper Jam dipping sauce, one side (fries) plus a Buttermilk Biscuit and a medium drink. The same meal with five tenders is priced at $8.50.
Typically, all Popeyes tenders will start with marinated all white-meat chicken that is breaded and deep fried until golden brown and crunchy. Interestingly enough, both Greg and Q found the new Butter Crunch Tenders tasted like a “sugar cookie,” which on the surface appears to suggest Popeyes is going with an extra-sweet and buttery version of their cornmeal breading.
Additionally, Popeyes is also offering new Smokin’ Pepper Jam dipping sauce to accompany the new tenders.
