It’s true, everything old is new again, just ask Burger King as they bring back an old cheesy favorite: Cheesy Tots.

Cheesy Tots are bite-sized snacks that feature a combination of warm potatoes and melted cheese inside a deep-fried crispy outer shell.
The returning snacks will be available for a limited time at the suggested price of $1.99 for an eight-piece order. The snacks were originally discontinued in 2009, but made a brief in 2013. The tots are back again in 2016 by popular demand from Burger King fans. There’s even a Facebook page dedicated to the return of Cheesy Tots.
YouTube food reviewers TheEndorsement and Peep THIS Out! were lucky enough to find the tots on local BK menus in Florida and California. You might not be so lucky – the tots are currently in the process of being rolled out nationwide. I’d recommend calling ahead to your local Burger King to check on availability before going out of your way in search of these unicorns.
But do Cheesy Tots live up to all the hype?
Although Cheesy Tots aren’t spectacular, they will provide you with a cheesy fix at a decent price point. If you plan to pick up an order for yourself, be sure to ask your server to throw in a dipping sauce. It will definitely add an extra level of comfort to these otherwise average snacks.
