Eric, aka The Endorsement picked one up for $2.99 at his local Taco Bell in advance of the official launch on January 26. You’ll also be able to pick one up as part of a $5 Box that includes a Doritos Locos Taco, Crunchy Taco and Medium Drink.
While the shell has an unabashedly greasy texture, the lightly fried chicken is very moist and works well with the slight kick you get on the backend from the creamy avocado ranch sauce. As expected, the fried chicken shell offers the bulk of the flavor while the cheese just fades to zero in the background. Eric describes the chicken flavor as overwhelming, but in a very good fried chicken way.
Initially a skeptic, Eric is sold on Taco Bell’s new Naked Chicken Chalupa. For his final rating and overall thoughts, check out Eric’s complete review below. And take a moment to subscribe to his YouTube channel for more fully clothed reviews like this.
