On tonight’s episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew travel to Kenner, Louisiana to try to rescue the Speakeasy Bar & Grill. During the Bar Rescue makeover, Jon Taffer changed the name of the Speakeasy Bar to The Second Line Co. – Festival Bar and Grill. The Bar Rescue took place in October, 2016.

Purchased by Amanda Bellaci and Keith Bellaci in 2015, the Speakeasy is reportedly losing $5,000 a month and has a debt of $250,000. The Bar Rescue episode is titled “All Twerk and No Pay Makes Taffer Shut It Down,” presumably due to Amanda’s penchant for twerking on the job while Keith treats the bar as his personal party crib. During Jon’s kitchen inspection, he found a “disgusting, and dangerous Kitchen.”
While the owners continue to operate under new The Second Line Co. name, they also appear to be very reluctant to drop the Speakeasy Bar brand. The Speakeasy’s Facebook page is very much alive and active, as is The Second Line Co. Facebook page.
