“The mission will be the longest controlled stratospheric balloon flight with a commercial payload in history and the first-ever multi-day mission of the World View Stratollite flight system,” the company said in a statement. The Zinger Stratollite launch window opens on June 21, 2017.

KFC set up this special space mission website where you can watch the “historic” flight unfold.

The brand first teased about sending the Zinger Chicken Sandwich into space in April, after recruiting actor Rob Lowe to officially launch the Zinger in the US market as the newest celebrity Colonel.

The Zinger features a 100 percent white meat breast filet, hand-breaded and fried to a golden brown, and served with lettuce and mayo on a toasted sesame seed bun.
