Update: Just a quick update to let everyone know that today, November 2, 2017, McDonald’s officially announced the return of the McRib sandwich at participating locations. McRib fans will want to mark Tuesday, November 7, 2017, on their calendars, because that’s when select McDonald’s locations will be bringing back its fan-favorite McRib sandwich.

Just be aware that the McRib will only be available at select locations. As McDonald’s explains it, availability is actually based on local fan demand. That being said, if you want to see the McRib offered at your local McDonald’s, I would suggest running some sort of McRib campaign on a social media platform like Facebook, etc.
There's a lot of mystery around why the McRib comes and goes, but to be honest it's a local option based on consumer demand.

From what I understand, the McRib will be a certainty at most McDonald’s locations in Florida, California and Hawaii (many more).
