The new side, inspired by the chain’s Western Bacon Cheeseburger, features crispy Crisscut seasoned potatoes topped with signature BBQ sauce, applewood-smoked bacon and shredded cheese. For fans keeping a calorie count, an order of Western Bacon Crisscuts will set you back 1170 calories.

Some Carl’s Jr.  locations are offering the new side for an introductory price of $2.99, however, prices may vary* by location (see below).

While the new side isn’t currently listed on Carl’s Jr. website, I have received reports of sightings in Oregon, Utah and California. It’s probably not a stretch to suggest Western Bacon Crisscuts will eventually land on Carl’s Jr. menus everywhere due to the fact that all the ingredients needed are readily available for the Western Bacon Cheeseburger build.

Peep THIS OUT!’s Ian Keiner picked up an order at his local Carl’s Jr. in Southern California for $3.49*.

Do Western Bacon Crisscuts make the cut? Check out Ian’s review below for his thoughts, and recommendation.
