Food Network announced today that Iron Chef America will be returning to the cable network on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in its classic fan-favorite format.

Hosted by Alton Brown, each new episode of the ten-episode season will feature an up-and-coming chef pitted against an elite Iron Chef in a secret ingredient cooking battle.
This season, Alton and “Chairman” Marc Dacascos welcome Chef Jet Tila, who will serve as floor reporter and offer commentary on all the action and happenings in the volatile Kitchen Stadium.
For the season opener, Richmond Virginia’s schnitzel queen, chef Brittanny Anderson battles Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Antonia Lofaso and Simon Majumdar serve as guest judges.
Each week two guest judges will determine “whose cuisine reigns supreme,” sending one chef into culinary infamy.
