The Crispy Colonel features a classic hand-breaded chicken filet with mayo and pickles on a toasted bun. The chain says the Crispy Colonel chicken sandwich is made-to-order every single time, “with the unmistakably crispy, fresh-out-of-the fryer, golden brown crunch.”

The new menu item is also available in three signature southern-inspired flavors: Smoky Mountain BBQ, spicy and smoky Nashville Hot, and sweet and tangy Georgia Gold honey mustard BBQ.

Additionally, the brand says it plans to introduce a fourth, limited time Crispy Colonel sandwich flavor later this summer. Stay tuned to Chew Boom for an update on the new flavor when available.

Beginning April 23, 2018 the Crispy Colonel will be available at participating locations nationwide in a $5 Fill Up that includes wedges, along with a cookie and a drink. Flavored Crispy Colonel sandwich combos will also be available for $5.99.

Just one note on the official Monday, April 23 launch date – some locations are already offering the new Crispy Colonel. I would advise calling ahead to your local KFC before making a special trip.

Prices and availability may vary by location.
