Bar Rescue At Cap’n Odies In Atlantic Beach, Florida

On tonight’s episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew touch down in Atlantic Beach, Florida to rescue Cap’n Odies Lounge. If you’re not familiar with Atlantic Beach, it’s located in Duval County, and part of the Jacksonville Beaches communities.

The rescue went down at the end of January, with the big reveal held on February 2, 2018, and Jon decided to stick with the Cap’n Odies name. While the official name on the bar’s liquor license is Cap’n Odies Lounge, the bar uses variations of the name, including Cap N Odies and Cap’n Odie’s.

The episode “An Ode to the Cap’n” revolves around a daughter (Kim Goings) as she grapples with the loss of her father and struggles to find a way to keep his bar afloat and save his legacy.

Back in March, Cap’n Odies posted a few photos on its Facebook page showing the results of the Bar Rescue makeover.

One person commented on the new light fixtures above the pool tables, writing “Looks great but I noticed when I was there the lights over the pool tables was BLINDING even while sitting at the bar.”

40 Minute Facebook Live video

A customer at Cap’n Odies posted a 40 minute Facebook Live video while Bar Rescue cameras could be seen filming in the background. She noted a ban on music during the filming and you can hear chatter about the upcoming stress test “tomorrow.”

Cap’n Odies is holding a “Bar Rescue Watch Party” with food and drink specials for the episode premiere on the Paramount Network Sunday night.
