On tonight’s episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew touch down in Anaheim, California to work their rescue magic on The Cave Sports Bar.

The Cave is a mom and son operation, owned by Maria Apaza de Gonzales and managed by her son Jaime. During the rescue, which took place in March of 2017, Jon decided not to change the name of the bar. It’s probably no coincidence that the new episode premieres on Mother’s Day.
Despite being $200,000 in debt (at the time of filming) and close to losing her house (Maria), On April 12, 2018 The Cave announced on its Facebook page that it was less than a month away from opening its second location in Garden Grove.
