On tonight’s episode of Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer and crew are in Jacksonville, Florida to rescue Fatballs Sports Bar. The Fatballs episode was filmed earlier this year in January, and Taffer decided to change the name of Fatballs to The Bayou New Orleans Bar and Grille.
A couple of months after the rescue, “The Bayou New Orleans Bar and Grille” was shut down by the local health inspector due to rodent droppings, according to News 4 Jax.
The inspector came out a total of three times, warning the manager about the consequences of any more droppings. Unfortunately, during the third visit, 50 more were found, and the restaurant was ordered to close for two days. An employee was also spotted pulling up his pants and then touching raw chicken.
The restaurant later reopened with a spotless inspection.
Fatballs Drains The Bayou
At some point in March, Tony Azer – the bar’s owner – decided to change the name of The Bayou back to Fatballs.
