Fellow chewer Constantine spotted the Deli Trio Pannido and the Turkey, Bacon & Cheddar Pannido on the menu boards at a Jack in the Box in the Orange County, CA area. (See below for latest update on locations).

The Deli Trio Pannido features smoked turkey, ham, salami and  dill pickle slices topped with a creamy Italian sauce on toasted ciabatta bread.

The Turkey, Bacon & Cheddar Pannido features sliced smoked turkey, crispy bacon, and natural cheddar cheese on toasted ciabatta bread.

Both sandwiches are served in a no-mess bag for easy eating on-the-go.

Pannido sandwiches will set you back anywhere from $4.74 to $4.99 each (may vary by location). They’re also available as part of a combo meal for around $6.99.

The first Pannido sandwiches debuted at Jack in the Box back in 2004 and carried a suggested price of $4.39 each. In fact, Jack in the Box originally launched three Pannidos in February 2004, including the Deli Trio Pannido, Zesty Turkey Pannido, and Ham and Turkey Pannido.

The 2004 version of the Deli Trio Pannido featured aged salami, Black Forest ham, oven-roasted turkey and dill pickle slices with a creamy Italian-Dijon sauce on a ciabatta baguette.

If you have information regarding the “New” Pannidos, drop Chew Boom a note with the details here.

Pannidos Sightings Update: Since my original post, I have received reports that Pannidos have also been spotted in Northern California, Washington State, Nevada, Texas and Tennessee.

In the meantime, enjoy this free ride on the fast food time machine back to 2004:
