Domino’s Pizza shops in Australia and New Zealand are cooking up the brand’s biggest pizza ever – fittingly named The Big One.

The Big One features four fully-loaded quarters of Domino’s most popular pies – Pepperoni, Supreme, BBQ Meatlovers and Hawaiian – each equivalent in size to two large pizzas, with an overall diameter of 40-inches. According to my back-of-the-napkin math, that works out to a total of eight large pizzas in one. Domino’s says The Big One feeds 20 people.

In preparation for The Big One’s launch, Domino’s had to source new, custom made pizza pans and specially-designed pizza boxes to withstand the weight of the supersized pizza. In fact, it’s the largest size pizza Domino’s shops could manage to make.

“We couldn’t make the pizza any bigger or else it wouldn’t fit through a standard doorway,” Domino’s global development chef Michael Treacy said in a statement.

Due to its overwhelming size, The Big One is only available for pick up, and on top of that, only two pizzas will be available per shop each day.

The Big One carries a suggested price of AU$49.95 (US$35.90) and must be reserved online 24 hours in advance.

Domino’s is also advising customers to make sure they bring a friend to help them carry the pizza out of the store and clear space in the trunk of their car, so it can lay flat.
